Second day in Bacolod was spent wandering around the city and visiting places of interests including restaurants. Food is always on my list wherever I go and I always want to try dishes from different places especially when I’m out of town.
After having a quick breakfast outside our hotel, we headed to the Capitol park and lagoon. There’s not much to see there actually but since we were already in the area, we decided to stop by for a few minutes to take some photos.
The Capitol building
We went back to our hotel after a taking a few photos to sort out some stuff before heading out again. It was past noontime already when we finally went out again. First on the list was food, for a late lunch. We headed to Bluegrass, it is a cafe, bar and grill, which happened to have a good review on Tripadvisor. I was really starving when we got there thats why everything on the menu looked and sounded tasty.
While waiting of our food..
Mixed green salad topped with grilled chicken… simply the best.
Grilled lamb with roasted potatoes.. This is soooo yum 🙂
I’m definitely coming back to this place next time I’m in Bacolod.
After our sumptuous lunch, we hailed a cab in front of the restaurant and headed to Talisay city to see the famous place called The Ruins. Since the place is outside the city proper of Bacolod, we decided to have the taxi wait for us, to take us back to the city. There is a minimal vehicle entrance fee at the gate and another visitor’s entrance fee.
Part 2 of Day 2 coming soon…
